Usse
Ussé in the regional natural park of Loire-Anjou-Touraine, is the site of a marvellous chateau whose orange-tree planted terraces overlook the confluence of the rivers Loire and Indre. Legend has it that the creator of the story of Sleeping Beauty, Charles Perrault, was inspired by Ussé.
The castle overlooks its village of Rigny-Ussé, where there is a spring thought to have magical healing properties.
